Hello there, first day at WMC and it is 1:28 am. As usual days are very long and you finish dead tired. But it is great to be around, to meet people you may have not seen in a year (it happens to me with my Brazilian friends like Andre Andrade from VIVO (VAS Director) or Rafael Magdalena CEO of Pure Bros for example) or time to put a face to people you may have been talking for months or simply to casually meet with people you did not know who they were before the event
We had the chance to present our latest promotional video which we are presenting here at the WMC.Thank for Estudio 2.0 (lead by Juan Aroca) for their help and great work
Also as this is our first year with a booth at the event, the sensations are different and it makes comparisons somehow difficult. Clearly there are less people and visitors at least on Monday. Last year they were huge queues at the entrance for hours. This year it took 10 m (and yes processes have also improved). However traffic was high, quality at the pavilion 7 was fairly impressive and topics and themes are expected but also interesting how people are addressing them:
- mobile advertising
- advercontent (mostly focused initially on gaming)
- communities and UGC content
- mobile clients and applications
- all type of content development
- Also we have had time to take a look at our competiors present here (Real Networks, Streamezzo, m-Net (which took over Minick (I did not know this until today), OmniPhone, etc..)
To finish today I love a couple of conversation we had today about the development of game oriented platforms where games are acquiring a different way to manage their lifecycle (form premium, to rental to advergaming). We have been presenting this to several operators and the interest is quite high
Tomorrow we have team meeting to wrap up what happened today and plan for the day. First meeting at 930 am. We can't wait
BTW I promised to upload some pictures also but I need to get my camera home as I forgot the card reader there. Will do some pictures with the phones and upload in facebook anyway
