Looking at the future: evolution vs. revolution

As I mentioned in some of my previous posts we are very focused on adding 3/4 new customers before the end of the year, adding also new features with our release v4.0. However almost as important we are redefining our 24 months roadmap and looking if the direction establish at the beginning of the year has to just to shift a bit or move into a more different direction. What I called evolution vs. revolution

There are many trends and talks in the marketplace. The content world (sorry Grahame (Maher CEO Vodafone Middle East, I know you hate the word content) is changing very rapidly and it is key to separate the clouds from the smoke

Below is a list of the topics that we are extracting learnings to develop possible future scenarios:
  • The Now (current state of digital content services market)
  • Web 2.0 and its future
  • What should we measure for Web 2.0
  • User Generated Content (UGC) trends
  • The Web Economy – Attention Services
  • Web Media Trends
  • Trend on Mobile Marketing
  • The Virtual Worlds
  • Social Media
  • Teen Second Life
  • On-line Gaming and Virtual Reality
  • Mobile Applications
  • Web Applications
  • OPSN – is this a development mmChannel could consider?
  • Geographic variations to personalisation
  • Japan example mobile services
  • The Search Engine
  • Widget Economy
  • Strap Lines
