Today we attended the FICOD event in Madrid
Apart from listening to a couple of conferences and debates (very disappointing both in terms of the quality of the content that was exposed and the the level of debate among the participants was the " Marketing through social media, user generated videos, blogs, podcast, videogames, mobiles,... "( "El Marketing a través de redes sociales, vídeos generados por los usuarios, blogs, podcast, videojuegos, móviles…)
However today the main reason for attending the event was the possibility to tape a video-presentation of our company and product.
See http://blogficod.es/2008/11/haz-la-mejor-videopresentacion-de-tu-proyecto-o-producto-gratis-en-ficod/
Using technology from PoliMedia, from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and with the help of their recording professionals we did prepare and record a very interesting presentation and our opinion a very good video presentation. We even introduce some challenge for the PoliMedia guys as we wanted to start having a video on the background while talking not just a presentation
No worries tomorrow or Thursday we will send you a link to the presentation
In the meantime I want to share the feeling to be in front of the camera and the restrictions of the set. We were very limited in terms of movement, both as we could not walk much neither move our right hand very much. These which are typical resources both Marc and I used on our presentation did present an obstacle at the beginning. However once we adapted it did improve the final result vs. our normal techniques. It was to see how we were trying to speak slowly (specially me as if you know you know how fast I can manage to speak in any language that I "master"), smile, combining looking at the camera and at the presentation, facing just in front of us, etc...
Well in the coming days you will see the results (which should make for a very good marketing and investors material) and I will love to hear from you
